The Anchorage library branch in the Mountain View neighborhood is temporarily closed after a tractor-trailer crashed into it over the weekend of August 1, 2026. At this point, the Mountain View Library will be closed at least this week as crews conduct assessments of the building. At this moment, it is not known how much is damaged or how much the insurance will cover. If you are interested in donating to the Mountain View Library, you can do so through the link below.
